What our people say
I've worked previously in various industries such as in fashion, machine tool manufacturing, and virtual reality — and it took MIK Projekt for me to figure out where I actually want to be. Energy industry clicked for me. As a project manager you're constantly between the technical team and the client, between deadlines and solutions — never boring. The team is straightforward, no politics, and when something gets stuck we work through it together. I joined at the end of 2023 and haven't looked back.
This is my first job after university and I've stayed because the environment and atmosphere suit me completely. We design boiler houses end to end — schemes, combustion systems, thermal installations. The work requires you to understand the full picture, not just your piece of it. The company invests in its people — we have access to paid courses and they're actually used. The industry is evolving and the pace keeps you on your toes.
Thermotechnics is a specific field and you feel that from day one. Projects are complex, standards are high, and you quickly realize how much there is still to learn. As a design engineer the work is never routine — every project has its own specifics and each time you have to think from scratch. What makes it work is the team — no closed doors, no gatekeeping. You're doing serious work in an environment where that's appreciated.
