We are engineers, fabricators, and commissioning specialists who build thermal energy systems designed to run for decades, not quarters. MIK Projekt designs, manufactures, installs, commissions, and maintains boiler and thermal energy plants for industrial facilities, district heating networks, and power generation.
Our engineering practice began in 1946 as the Belgrade design bureau of TPK Zagreb — then one of the region's foremost boiler institutions — and became an independent, family-led company in 1991. Behind us is eight decades of continuous boiler and thermal-plant engineering, and systems that still heat cities and run industrial processes today.
We are not a single-brand reseller. As an independent EPC integrator — we engineer around the plant each client actually needs, selecting and combining the right technology instead of defending one catalogue. For operators who cannot afford downtime, that independence is the difference between a supplier and a partner.
As efficiency, fuel flexibility, and emissions requirements tighten across markets worldwide, we engineer for that shift the way we always have: on verifiable performance, not promises.
Every system grounded in calculations, standards and real operating conditions.
Continuity of knowledge and long-term accountability to clients and systems.
From project documentation to final assembly and commissioning.
Adaptable solutions for natural gas, light oil, biomass and multi-fuel configurations.
Company History
Tvornica Parnih Kotlova Zagreb (TPK) is founded in Zagreb in 1946. The newly established company, which includes a Design and Engineering Bureau headquartered in Belgrade, starts with 133 employees and immediately establishes itself as the leading boiler manufacturer in Yugoslavia. By 1948, after moving into a new facility in Žitnjak, the workforce grows to 213.

By 1960, the Belgrade Engineering Bureau has been operating for 14 years, delivering boilerhouse projects throughout Yugoslavia. This milestone marks the moment when the bureau's accumulated experience and project volume firmly confirms its position as the leading force in the region's industrial heating infrastructure, laying the groundwork for everything that follows.

A decade of intensive technological development. TPK and its Engineering Bureau lead the conversion of industrial heating systems from solid to liquid fuel, placing the organisation at the forefront of combustion engineering in the region.

Having built his career at TPK as a mechanical engineer, Đorđe Delikladić is appointed Director General of Tvornica Parnih Kotlova Zagreb. Under his leadership, TPK reaches its peak: by 1980 it employs 2,389 workers and consolidates its dominant position in Yugoslavia's boiler industry.

In response to shifts in energy markets and the rapid expansion of natural gas infrastructure, the Engineering Bureau leads the conversion of boiler systems to gaseous fuel, defining a new generation of industrial heating.

With the dissolution of Yugoslavia, Đorđe Delikladić separates the Belgrade Engineering Bureau from TPK Zagreb and establishes it as an independent company: MIK Projekt d.o.o., headquartered in Belgrade. Decades of accumulated knowledge, business relationships and technical expertise continue under a new name, with full continuity of people and mission.

MIK Projekt develops and delivers its first projects dedicated to NOx emission reduction, responding to stricter European environmental standards and growing client demand for low-emission combustion solutions.

MIK Projekt opens its own production facility in Noćaj, expanding in-house capacity for manufacturing key components — gas trains, economizers, finned tubes, and steel structures. For the remaining equipment, we continue to work with trusted manufacturing partners, always choosing the optimal solution for each project.

MIK Projekt expands its focus and integrates next-generation energy solutions into its offerings: hydrogen-ready systems, industrial heat pumps, electric boilers, and digital solutions. Under the leadership of Aleksandar and Igor Delikladić — sons of the founder — the company positions itself as a partner for clients navigating the shift toward decarbonized industrial heat, carrying three generations of engineering knowledge into the future.

Completed Projects
Modernisation, reconstruction and construction of boiler and thermal energy plants in the industrial and public sectors.
Our Operating Principles
Every system we design is grounded in precise calculations, international standards, and real operating conditions. The integrity of the system is non-negotiable.
We treat every completed project as a data point. Our engineering methods, delivery processes, and technical solutions are continuously evaluated and refined. We do not repeat yesterday's approach if a better one exists today.
We do not hand over a system and walk away. From initial concept through commissioning, compliance verification, and long-term maintenance, we carry responsibility for the system's performance across its entire operational life.
We optimize industrial energy infrastructure for today's fuels and today's emission standards — while engineering with tomorrow's energy landscape in mind. Natural gas, biomass, hydrogen, multi-fuel: our systems are built to adapt.
We operate across markets and geographies, but every project is executed with the same engineering discipline regardless of location, client size, or system complexity. Volume of work does not affect quality.
Long-term client relationships are not a marketing claim — they are the result of delivering on technical commitments, meeting deadlines, and being present when the system needs support. We earn trust through execution, not promises.
Vision
We see a future where industrial and municipal energy runs on technology that pollutes less and never compromises on reliability. From cutting emissions on the systems running, to upgrading systems and introducing tomorrow's cleanest technology — the transition is already part of every project we deliver. We build systems that power the industry today and decarbonize it tomorrow.
Mission
Our mission is to deliver exceptional boiler house and thermal energy engineering — reducing emissions, increasing efficiency, and securing the reliable energy supply that industry and communities depend on.
Certificates and Standards
We operate in accordance with international standards for quality, environmental protection and occupational safety.
